Who Is Elena Semechin?
Elena Semechin was born on 26ht October 1993 in a small village which is in Kazakhstan and later shifted to the country Russia along with her family. At the age of 7 in Russia, she was diagnosed with macular degeneration that left he with the vision of only 3%. After taking admitted into the school for disabled kids in the country Russa, at the young age of 11 migrated to the country Germany. In the spite of her disability, she discovered her passion for swimming and takes the training to become a Paralympic swimmer. Elena specializes in breaststroke and freestyle.

Instead of that, it reminded her that life is short and she can’t sit and wait for the right time to get things better. Her disease taught her that she has to work hard and fulfill her dreams while she still can work on train for championships while on the sessions of chemotherapy. Their passion of Elena for swimming became the cure for her cancer. She made her passion her cure and fight against the disease. After watching her courage everyone appreciates her and wanted to know more about her. In the year 2022, she bagged the silver medal in the breaststroke event of the 100m which was held at the London Paralympics.

In the year 2016, at the event of Rio Paralympics, she got the 5th position in a similar event. Though she always thought about getting the gold medal and her dream was completed in the year 2020 at Tokyo Olympics when then 27-year-old swimmer conquered a British contender named Rebecca Redfern to get the 1st place. When Elena was commemorating her big triumph after many years of hard work and a lot of planning to get wedded to her beau and coach named Philip Sechin.
