Nury Martinez Exposed Racist Remarks In Audio
Now after watching a lot of criticism and backlash, Nury Martinez apologized. She and 2 other council members were heard using language which they used racist words. During the conversation, she can be heard to be discussing a white colleague and his young son who is black and she was stating all things to a labour leader. Now the reports are suggesting that the audio of the conversation that happened between Nury Martinez, the council president, members Kevin de Leon and Gil Cedillo and Los Angeles County Federation of Labor President named Ron Herrera firstly leaked on Reddit and later on went viral on other platforms in the starting of this month.
What Did Nury Martinez Say?
In the month of October 2021 conversation, which was lastly for 1 hour, the council president can be heard calling her fellow Mike Bonin the council member “that little b**ch”, making remarks that he holds his espouse son like “an accessory”. Now the reports are suggesting that in a statement released on Sunday, 09th October 2022, Nury stated that “In a moment of enormous anger and frustration, I let the circumstances get the best of me.” She further added that “I hold myself many times for these comments.” This comment made Mike Bonin furious. He stated that the leaked audio made him “angry, disgusted and heartsick”. He also states that his son was just 2 years old when Nury made such a comment about his son.
