Sarah Schmidt Death Reason
The Investigation officers discovered 3 individuals lethally shot in a tent which they found at the campground, as stated by Mitch Mortvedt the division assistant director. They also released information about the victims who lost their lives. The 42-years-old, Tyler Schmidt, the 42-years-old Sarah Schmidt, and the 6-years-old, Lula Schmidt of Ceder Falls were all related, as per the Iowa Department of Public Safety. Mortvedt did not describe how they were connected or provide a motive for the assassinations. The police officials instantly evacuated everyone from the camping park, a summer camp of children on the floors, and the campground.

Once the removal was finished, the only lodged camper not listed was 23-years-old named Anthony Sherwin. Iowa permits individuals to allow to carry firearms virtually all over the state. The police officials have not issued a possible motive. The investigation team do not believe he had any previous relationship with the sufferers. Mortvedt stated that he could not state whether Sherwin had any kind of previous criminal record. A search of Internet records of the court in Nebraska and state did not produce any kind of record before offensive behavior.
Suspect Name Revealed
The postmortem on Sherwin and the sufferers were planned to be performed this weekend stated by Mortvedt and more details would likely be issued based on those discoveries. Maquoketa Caves State Park is situated at 9688 Caves Road, which is around 10 miles northwest of the place called Maquoketa which is in Jackson County. After the incident, the park remained closed on Friday, 22nd July 2022. Police are currently investigating the matter and as soon as they released any new information we will update this section.
